What would our history be like if the central event of the Caseros Battle was a meeting nobody could prove? Which are the images that work as an access to the impressions of the official reports of history? Ariel Cusnir presents in PASTO, ?Los Rojos ?, a series of paintings that, resembling history painting in some cases, and taking distance from this genre in some others, formulates a contemporary question as regards the news status. This investigation, which fluctuates between a philosofical hypothesis and a retrospective work, aims to set up an indistinguishable space between the historical discourse and the history of its builders, between the verbal reality of the big narration and the worldliness of its actors, where the image (and its documentary capacity of notation) find the power to invest different versions and visions, point out discontinuities and intervals, make a mobile and multiple spot out of perspective.
